The Envelopments 2012 Wedding Collection: Week 5 {New At Envelopments}

Over the past 15 years, the wedding stationery industry has experienced movement toward custom invitations. It’s not a trend; it’s a way of life. And since the beginning, Envelopments has been cultivating a mix and match system that facilitates customization and personalization.

When Envelopments first started, it was about creating color combinations through layers of card stocks and enclosures. Over time, they've became more computer savvy and the weight of the graphic design portion grew more important. The concept of mixing and matching has evolved to incorporate Envelopments Original Artwork as well a library of free and premium fonts.

When you're designing the perfect invitation or stationery consider combining the design layout of Georgia & Trevor but the color palette from Penelope & Sheldon. Or create a completely new design based on your unique style. If you need more inspiration check out all of the amazing new layouts and design ideas from Envelopments' 2012 Wedding Collection.

The Envelopments 2012 Wedding Collection: Week 4 {New At Envelopments}

Envelopments is proud to release 12 more wedding recipes! Because texture is going to be such a big trend in 2012, they've focused on the sense of touch when designing these new recipes.

The newest matte black, Noir, has a smooth coating that works beautifully with white matte foil in the Beverly & Anderson wedding ensemble.

The blind embossed pattern on Iced/Sugar, a luxurious metallic duplex, begs to be touched in the Marley & Ryder sample.

Between the fabric texture of Pout, the letterpress impression on the cotton stock, and the ombre tones of Tangerine Tango (Pantone’s color of the year) Penelope & Sheldon’s suite offers both a visual and tactile treat.

The wood grain texture of Chocolate Barque featured in Darcy & Andrew’s wedding ensemble adds subtle drama and establishes the tone for the event.

The invitation for Adriana & Dwayne features a Pocket Fold enclosure with a subtle linen texture beneath an organic floral print (another trend for 2012).

There are now 48 new recipes available on Envelopments.com.

Introducing the Trellis Collection featuring hand-painted artwork by Kristy Rice for Envelopments

From the Envelopments Blog:

When you’re shopping for a wedding dress, you may already have something in mind. You may not know which designer you’d be wearing, but you know you’ve got to have a sweet heart neck line, or a dramatic lace collar, or a sea of ruffles. When we started thinking about our 2012 Collection, we knew we wanted to incorporate a handmade quality to our patterns. Enter Kristy Rice of Momental Designs. Kristy, joined our network of Dealers/Designers in August 2007 and completely impressed our team with her amazing artwork. She brings the idea of custom wedding ensembles to another level by hand-painting each invitation.

With almost 3,000 miles between our southern California headquarters and her Pennsylvania studio, we’ve relied on the Momental Designs website and blog to see samples of Kristy’s work. She frequently uses Envelopments cardstocks, papers, liners and envelopes in her custom wedding invitations and always inspires us with her unique color combinations. I was the first of our team to have the pleasure of meeting Kristy at engage!09 in Las Vegas. Since then, Envelopments and Kristy have been nurturing a mutually respectful relationship. At the 2011 National Stationery Show in New York, we began discussing the possibilities of collaborating over dinner. Needless to say, both parties left the table invigorated.

Over the next few months, we worked with Kristy on different variations of patterns. There was a lot to consider: How will her style be incorporated into the Envelopments aesthetic? How can we translate her hand-painted techniques into a reproducible medium? But the biggest question that persisted was “How gorgeous would her artwork look printed directly on a Pocket Folds® enclosure?”

With bated breath, we’re proud to introduce the Trellis Collection featuring the hand-painted artwork of Kristy Rice. Our newest collection of Envelopments Patterns available in enclosures, cardstocks, papers and liners. With our upcoming 2012 Wedding Release, we will be debuting ten different Trellis prints. For the first time, we are using a 4-color process to create two pink floral options and two orange floral options. We are also releasing six 1-color options, one of which is printed on a duplex stock (another first for us).

We feature Trellis in the Vivienne & Miles wedding ensemble, as seen in the Winter 2012 edition of Martha Stewart Weddings magazine, currently in circulation. The beautiful latticework of the pink floral pattern wraps the invitation in a 6×9 Pocket Folds enclosure. We highlight the tones of the delicate flowers with Boa and Tourmaline card stock backing layers and emphasize the hand-drawn stems with Belluccia, a calligraphic font.

Use any of the Trellis patterns to match the invitation, or use coordinating colors like Boa, Napa, Green Tea, Graphite, Raw Silk Gold or Raw Silk Ecru-SWI73 to create an eclectic color scheme of Favor Containers. Incorporate Envelopments Original Artwork (30 hand-painted floral elements to choose from) onto personalized band wraps.

Custom-scored folded cards make beautiful place cards, layered card stocks hang beautifully from topiaries as table numbers, and Envelofolds® enclosures work great as escort cards.

So, just like the process of hunting for that perfect wedding dress, We set out to find a pattern that complements the Envelopments collection. We knew which designer we wanted to work with. We knew the feeling we wanted to emote. Working with talented hands that tailored the fit to our taste made it all sing. And we’re excited to share this couture creation with you.

Stamping Up Creativity {New from Envelopments and Zazzle.com}

Check out what's new from the Envelopments Blog on custom postage for your stationery!

Envelopments is proud to announce the release of their Wedding Collection of customized postage stamps on Zazzle.com/Envelopments. They’ve taken inspiration from the latest design trends, classic aesthetics, Envelopments Original Artwork, beautiful fonts and vibrant colors to create 8 categories of over 575 stamps to choose from. Sure, it barely covers 1 square inch of your envelope, but you may be surprised how much stamps can add to the overall tone of your communiqués. The mood can be set long before the envelope is opened.

Some of Envelopments' designs are versatile enough to use for non-wedding events. Use “Vintage Ornate – Shower” stamps on the invitations for a baby shower. Use the combination of “Paris Metro – You’re Invited” and “Paris Metro – Kindly Respond” for your daughter’s Sweet 16 birthday party. Use and of the “Patterned Love” stamps to send a friendly note to someone, reminding them you care.

From start to finish—from your engagement announcements to your thank you cards (and everything in between)—Envelopments has designed solutions to create a cohesive look for all your mailing needs. And just for fun, the next time you mail your cable bill, slap on a stamp from the Envelopments Custom Collection. We're willing to bet it won’t go unnoticed.
