Utterly Engaged Snap Crackle Pop New Years Party 2011 {Part 1}

We were so excited to have participated in the Utterly Engaged New Years Party 2011!  This year the theme was Snap. Crackle. Pop! and the table design was supposed to incorporate this theme. Since I am a paper person, I love flowers but designing them is not my thing...luckily I have friends!

Paula from Bliss Artistic Floral Design and my friend+assistant Diane, and I came up with a beautiful simple, modern table-scape.  Paula had an idea she had been wanting to do for a while, a tall vase of quince branches with a huge "fluff" of baby's breath, so we started with that idea and our Modern Rustic Winter Meets Vintage Spring design was born.
Large blossoming quince branches along with the “snap” of twigs in the main centerpiece combine beautifully with the “crackle” of ice in a large glass vase. “Pops” of bursting, spring blossoms as well as   a “pop” of color in coral and pink unite all the elements of the table and complete the theme.  Six, large white candles with yarn wrap and modern milk glass vases grace the table with light.  Rustic French linens, bamboo chiavari chairs and natural wood charges infuse the table with warmth while antiqued silver trumpet vases add vintage charm.
Diane and I designed the modern and fun stationery that included menus, place cards, table cards and bath salt favors, with coordinating tags and labels. We had SO MUCH FUN doing this...I can't wait for next year!

 Ranunculus Menu and Place Cards are made with Pout backing layer, Graphite 2nd backing layer and Classic White printed layer with charcoal ink.
